St. Anthony’s Convent School, Jaigaon, Nirmala Niketan is an English medium school established in 1988 and owned by the Salesian Sisters, a body registered under the Societies Registration Act.XXVI of 1961 having its office in Dum Dum, Kolkata.

St. Anthony’s Convent School – Jaigaon is a Catholic Educational institution conducted by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians also known as the Salesian Sisters. Its founder is Don Bosco and co- founderess is St. Mary Mazzarello. It is a Catholic Minority Institution recognized by the Education Department of the Government of West Bengal for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC), New Delhi, with three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce. The school admits all children irrespective of caste and creed. It is a co-ed school.

The clubs of the school

Music Club
It organizes singing contest to help students retain and enhance their talent in music. Songs are composed by them for different school events with different themes.
Art Club
It organizes competition like drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpting to encourage artistic skills. It is responsible to maintain the wall magazine.
Dramatic Club
It encourages dramatic presentation by students in the form of skits, plays, mime, etc.
Media Club
It encourages students in photography, filming, exhibitions, etc. It celebrate media week in the school.
Literary Club
It organizes competition like debate, creative writing, elocution, literature, etc.
Eco Club
Promotes participation of students learning about and improving the environment activities through slogan writing , rally etc.
Social Service Club
Encourages the students for charity works, clean up local parks,places,reaches out to the poor and needy people of vicinity. Every Christmas they hold Christmas tree for the neighborhood families donating old clothes collected from school students and other household material. Sports events are also organized for the neighborhood children giving them snacks and gifts.
Dance Club
Encourages students for dance competition like ballet dance, Indian folk dance, etc. The members take responsibility to teach the students different dances for various events.
Sports Club
It organizes tournaments like volleyball, badmintion, football and all other sports activities.
